The Outdoor Revolution Movelite T4E PC Mid Driveaway Awning is Outdoor Revolution’s flagship model in the 2023 drive-away awning range. For those of you familiar with their top-selling Movelite T4E, this awning has a similar footprint but has now been recreated in breathable Polycotton Fabric for hotter climates and made to withstand extended amounts of UV exposure as well as being better in UK climates as being more breathable it is not as susceptible to condensation issues and is incredibly waterproof.
Now available in varying connection heights to suit vehicles with an awning rail height from 180cm to 305cm, (Low, Mid and High models) and with all the premium features you would expect from Outdoor Revolution’s high-end Movelite Range, this awning has the useful feature of a back door which allows for the connection of an optional zip-on bedroom annex. This can create a private and enclosable permanent sleeping or storage space without encroaching on the large internal living area. Two berth and four berth inner tents are also available should you wish to opt for the traditional tunnel layout.
To further increase usable sheltered space, the built-in front canopy can be fully enclosed using an optional porch door. This windowed porch door is complete with a full mesh panel, as well as zip-up curtains. There is also a zip to allow attachment of an optional large Sun Canopy which can fix either directly to the awning, or via the additional zip track on the optional Porch Door.

The Polycotton Flysheet is exquisite, allowing breathability and insulation in equal parts, dependent on the weather conditions; the fabric will contract for maximum heat retention when cold, whilst in warm weather, the material will ‘breathe’ to help maintain a more comfortable internal atmosphere. There are even acoustic benefits of using this heavy-duty canvas material, which maintains a calmer internal ambiance within the awning, especially in the wind. The Oxygen Air Frame is the quickest, simplest and most reliable inflation system on the market, with no adjoining pipes/taps spoiling the immaculate lines of our stunning designs, comprising our ultra-sturdy Quintuple High-Pressure Oxygen Air Frame Tube technology, the famed Dynamic Speed Valve and the patented Intelligent Frame Relief Valve. Inflation is swift using the Dual Action Hand Pump provided, whilst deflation is available at the push of the self-retainer button; our exclusive pressure relief valve prevents damage to the tube through expelling any excess air above around 6PSI, typically caused by over-inflation or fluctuations in the ambient temperature. These tubes are designed to mirror our gothic arched architecture for enhanced water run-off. All valves are discretely concealed by a Velcro Cover for a tidier external aesthetic. Expansive tinted anti-glare windows grant a panoramic vista of the surrounding environment and protect against any harmful UV rays, whilst increasing privacy and illuminating the awning interior during daytime hours; these are accompanied by zip-in curtains, which can be zipped fully back, or zipped completely in for additional privacy at night. The extra-deep rear cowl found on this model utilises a tapered, profile cut side, ensuring a weather tight fit, featuring waterproof zips and ventilation (with zip down draft covers) on each side. A sewn-in groundsheet increases convenience when pitching, whilst keeping bugs out and preventing water ingression to the interior. The addition of twin piping (6mm & 4mm) ensures compatibility across the vast majority of awing rail connections, although for driveaway capability from most rail systems you need the addition of Figure of 8 and Kador Bead. We have implemented Phoenix Mesh fly screen panels in the side door to optimise airflow and keep insects at bay; an assisted healing smart material with the structurally incorporated ability to repair snag damage, typically caused by consistent usage. Simply manipulated, the mesh will then return to its original form. This awning outstrips other somewhat comparable awnings such as the Vango Galli TC Polycotten (old name ~ Rhone) or the Outwell Jonnesville 440SA or Kampa Touring Air Polycotten – it boasts the same great design in that going parallel to the vehicle is less pitch hungry than some others on the market. It has some other great features such as an additional side door opposite the connecting door to the vehicle as well as doors in the either side of the tunnel. What makes this model really different though is that it is so flexible with the optional extras that can be added to make it the biggest driveaway awning on the market. It has the ability to have the optional Canopy fitted on the front of it making it an even larger usable space and to have the porch enclosed with a door plus an annex on the back of it. The canopy could then also be used directly onto the vehicle with the addition of the Retro Connector.
How to Attach to a Vehicle
THULE or FIAMMA WINDOUT AWNING
Many vehicles have one of these two types of windout awnings attached to them which have a channel available. In order to driveaway from these you will need a Kador and Figure of 8 conversion Therefore if you have the Thule Omnistor you will need this item here, and if you have the Fiamma you will need this item here along with the Figure of 8 here.

There are a few options for attaching this awning to your vehicle which depends slightly on the type of vehicle. The older vans with the gutter channel may use just the Figure of 8 and clip this on (depending a little on the condition of the gutter channel). This works to a certain extent but can come unclipped if it gets windy. They can also use a pole and clamp system although this is not a method I would personally recommend as I have seen one end of a pole come off before and then make a big mess of the van as the metal pole clangs against it. Some pole systems use sucker pads which are even more unreliable.
AWNING RAIL
The best option by far is an awning rail. I make bespoke rails for the every vehicle. For some vehicles with existing bolt holes I can do a bolt on rail. For other vehicles including those with pop top or high top and virtually any other vehicle I can do a one piece chamfered and shaped self fit kit which glues and screws on and comes with everything you need to fit it. These rails are a proper channel which will take the beading of the awning directly if not wishing to drive away or with the use of Figure of 8 and Double sided Kador bead you can drive away with ease whilst giving a quick, easy and the most weatherproof and secure attachment possible. This will not come off if it gets windy. It is recommended to avoid a J rail or Magnetic Kador – they are not very effective and you will almost certainly end up buying twice!
